1976 Lincoln Continental parts
I have a complete Lincoln that I am parting out. Originally was just going to pull the engine and trans but after really looking at the car there is alot of good chrome and misc other parts. I believe that the car has only 21,000 original miles and it sat for the last 18 years so the body is somewhat rotted but there is still alot of good parts. I would hate to see all of it go to the scrap yard as I know after restoring my Mustang and many others how hard good original parts are to come by. Any question please post the or email me and I will answer them asap. Thanks Mach1twister!!

I have a 79, many of the parts are the same....
how are the bumpers?
does it have cruise control, and if so, how is the steering wheel center (horn cover, etc)?
Hmm, have to look. but am looking for one of the rear door ashtrays
hubcaps? might need just 1....
power antenna any good?
4 door? does it have vent windows? if no vent , i might like the right front door...i actually only need 1 part, but the part i need is 79 ONLY and NLA, including boneyards..
mirrors..pitted or good?
Now then , getting this from there to here....well, indiana ain't too far. Can i pay you in beer?
seriously, let me know!Chris

Bumpers are not rusted out chrome not peeling or pitted both bumpers are straight. Mirrors are pitted no vent window also have an extra set of doors in the trunk also look pretty good. Will check on antenna have only two hubcaps look to be in good shape. Car still has all the chrome trim on it also. Near as I can tell everything still works on car. Even though it may be found on road dead after 18 years threw a battery in dumped some gas in her and she fired right up.

The core support is made out of steel and it is rusted out. Also it does have cruise control and the steering wheel is in very good shape.

my 79 bumpers have hte alum supports...no matter, i can leve them out for all icare. need stright, fairly nice looking chrome bumpers...will have to check and see how clse 76 is to 79 in appearance...
as to doors, when i need is the window track that is riveted to the front part of the door glass on the pass frt door. i figured it is easier to get a whole door and figure out how to convert or move parts about to get the 79 to function.
Do you need any money for these parts, or just a come and get em for $20 kinds thing? I gotts cross the state of ohio and hoever far then on to you (i live on oh/pa border between 76/80 and 70)Chris

Make me an offer for the parts as I would like to recoup some of my cost of buying the car. I originally thought that the axles would work but after more research it does not look like they are going to work.

Well, i think the bumpers will work. i could use a piece or two of trim fromt he rer - one tail light chrome (have to check which side) and one piece that runs between teh taillights.
RF door is the power window stuff works...figure that is easier that stripping out teh guts and the window track...what do you think?
You are NW Indiana? Ft Wayne? elsewhere?
email me directly ( see button under this post) and we can talk more regarding when, how and what it's worth.
Do you have pics by chance of the bumpers?Chris
