guys I'm not a mechanic, don't know much about these things and have only ever rebuilt one carb and that was on my mini-bike. I'm glad I amused you all I took all the pics because I don't know about these and figured they would show what it is.
I'll edit the post. So as you see it in the pics, how much is it worth? I was going to put it on e-bay if nobody here wanted it.

Well---if your going to try to sell it---take off the pink check valve on top of the float bowl
try to find some hex head bolts like on the seconary to put in the promary bowl
Market it toward the stock car crowd as many of them have to run a 450cfm carb and many I know have paid as much as $1500.00 or more for a tricked out one
good luck

that check valve, what goes there instead? it looks like that little rod that the rubber flap is attached to has a hole under it.
I don't need to get a lot out of it, just trying to offset the cost of the new carb somewhat. trying to keep to a snug budget this time around.

Dago,
That 450 would make a good tunnel ram carb, put it on Ebay, someone will snag it..39 Plymouth 2-door sedan, 46 Dodge pu, 67 Mustang stock, 01 Road King
