SBC and 3-speed overdrive trans
Hi - I'm pulling the sbc and trans out of my 1955 chevy. I would like to sell everything as a package. I believe the engine is a 283 (can't see casting numbers) with heads that were used on 283's and 327's. Engine is tired and leaks, but I have used as a daily driver for the last three years (very reliable). The trans is a 3 speed overdrive trans. Overdrive works perfectly, but trans pops out of 3rd (in overdrive) and shifts aren't as smooth as a new trans. Everything goes with this package including bellhousing and clutch. I'm asking $600.00 or best offer. I will be pulling engine in about two weeks, so you can hear and drive car now. This is for pick up only, no shipping. I live in Lancaster area in north Los Angles County (California of course). Engine and trans have been in this car since at least 1966.
