427 Tunnel Port Factory Ford Super Stock Stroker Engine

I have an engine I am selling for a friend. This is a very Rare Engine for sure.

Sometime in the mid to late 60s Ford Contracted Holman Moody in Charlotte NC and maybe the location in Florida and California to build 50 Special Engines for Super Stock Drag Racing to compete against the 426 Hemi Super Stock Dodges.

The 427 Tunnel Port Engine was the choice and along with a Dual Four Barrel Single Plane Intake, a Solid Roller Cam and a 1/2 inch Stroker Crank, Holman Moody ended up with a 489 cubic inch to 496 inch depending on bore size.
These engines also had Solid Roller Cams.

These engines were only available to Factory Sponsered Drag Race Teams for Ford.
This engine was a Race Engine in the Charlotte area for some time and then sold to my friend who raced it for several years. Now his engine of choice is a modern 632 Big Block or a Stroker Windsor.

This engine is a complete short block with the Tunnel Port Heads and the Two four intake along with Adjustable Rocker Arms and other misc parts to build a complete engine. This is a Rare piece of Ford Racing History. The pistons have been banged up a bit but still usuable you can just freshen everything up and use the engine or you can replace parts and build a very nice Race Engine. The asking price is very reasonable for this engine at, $15,000.00. You can contact me at, mikesspeedparts@aol.com or call me on my cell at, 704-516-8033. I have pictures I can email you and will try my luck at posting some with this add. Thanks, Mike.
