Oil Pan 67 Chevy Impala 396
I removed the 283 W/ 3 speed manual with overdrive, Installing a 396 W/ Muncie 4 speed. The oil pan is hitting the drag link between the pitman arm and the idler arm. Cannot find an original oil pan for this car. After market pans will not work. Do not want to modify the pan. Can anyone help me?
Thanks,
Don

Have tried Moroso, can not help because of the lenth of their sump back to front. Have had no sucess so far on ebay. Another alternitive is sectioning the drag link. The 396 was an option in 67, GM has discontinued the pan. Hopeing to find an original.
Thanks for your help,
Don

Hey BBBob, I mean HHBob this sounds like it's right up your alley.
One of our Senior Members has a big block 67 Biscayne, maybe he knows where an extra pan is.
