    Angry step brackets

I'm restoring a 1981 Ford Flareside P/U. The brackets which bolt to the frame and support the little step are rusted out. I can't find anyone who makes them. Ford says they are obsolete??
    Any ideas??

If they don't have any complex geometry, make new ones out of 2" x 1" x 1/8" wall rectangular tubing and 2" x 3/8" flatbar, welded together.
