    '63 Chevy Impala steering column parts?

    Hello. I was wondering if anyone knows a good place to get parts for an old steering column? I need the bushing that goes into the end of the column (keeps the shaft itself centered).

    Also, I need a wiring diagram, and maybe an exploded view drawing (I know thats asking alot) so I can see how to take it apart;

    It's going in a 32 Ford, and I need to take it apart so I can slide the column through the hole in the firewall, as the 90 degree shifter bracket will not fit through.

    Can anyone lead me in the right direction?

    Thanks for any help!

    Thanks Richard. Thats a good start! I will contact them tomorrow.

    Oh, and sorry for originally posting this in the Hot Rod Talk forum, but the bushing is probably easier to find than the exploded diagram or wiring schematic. A place with this info would more than likely be able to hook me up with at least a supplier- not to mention the fact that more people would probably see it in the HRT forum.

    Anyway, thanks again Richard

    Well, I e-mailed them last week, and as of today still did not have a response. I ended up calling them, and found the part. They are also seemingly very reasonable on rebuilding steering columns, with a 1 or 2 day turnaround. Not sure who I spoke with, but he was very helpful and informative. Just wanted to say thanks again, Richard.
