quality MII spindles
do you guys think that mustang II spindles that can be found on ebay real cheap are crap steel?
I have some 2" drop spindles on my truck now, but it turns out I will need regular ones. I know where to get them, but they aren't cheap, but I sure don't want to watch one of my wheels go sailing away beside me on the road.
I got mine from TCI and have never used them except for mock up, what a waste.Last edited by tcodi; 04-11-2005 at 07:11 PM.

we are in the exact same boat. the 2 inch drops on my 53 chevy set it just plain too low so i bought some useded FOMOCO spindles from ebay. i didnt trust the others either cause they are probably cheap chinesse castings. i paid $95.00 for the pair including shipping. i hope to sell my TCI 2 inch drops to cover the cost.Seth

I think I just found the same guy you got your fomoco spindles from. His are $95 with shipping.
Do you know if the caliper brackets are interchangable between the new 2" drops and those used stock height spindles?
they look a little different.

Just one little bit of infor to add. If your using/hunting for original Ford Mustang II spindles the 1975-8 spindles are supposed to be a little stronger than the 1974 units due to being designed for the added weight of the V8s.

tcodi, i got my spindles today and the braket moutings for the brakes are different but the holes for the mountings on the spindles are on the same place. it looks like i just have to switch my gm brake brakets with the ford ones that came with the spindle.Seth

is this how your drop spindles mount the bracket?

yep, that looks right. i checked it all out and everything bolts to the ford spindles just like the TCI spindles. the ball joint and tie rod and caliper bracket. its good to go. i think it raised the front end acually about 3" and i think it looks way better. also before the front tire looked like it was sitting too far forward in the fenderwell and now it looks perfectly centered.Seth
