4 Speed Toploader
I am looking for a 4 speed toploader to bolt into my 69 Mustang. I would like a close ratio but would maybe consider a wide ratio. Thanks for your time.Last edited by 69CobraJet; 03-30-2006 at 08:00 PM.

Yeah i called them and got a price on a tranny. They were really nice there, i was just hoping to find something a little cheaper than $2700.00.

There were plenty at the all ford swapmeet in columbus ohio and all different prices, the highest I seen was a big input for a scj at 2100.00. I gave up looking for a reasonable one for my 65 custom and found a 5 speed from a late 80s mustang for 150.00 and will adapt, you can get everything to adapt a T-5 in a early mustang. Jeff

All you will need is a trans along with a adapter/spacer and a crossmember and possibly a different yoke for the driveshaft, kits are available with everything needed from various mustang vendors on the internet including a new trans. I think the kit that has the adapter and crossmember plus other small needed parts are around 350.00,from what I heard at the swapmeet the roller bearing pilot bearing and correct speedo gear are needed too. I am very interested in the tranny. Is there any way you could sent pictures of it. When was the last time that it was used? I am only 4 hours away from you so we wouldn't have to worry about shipping.Last edited by 69CobraJet; 04-28-2006 at 09:04 AM.
