wanted: Cheap Ford motor in Central Ohio
I am looking for a cheap ford motor in Ohio, the closer to Columbus the better. Looking for something like a 351 windsor, 400m, 429 or 460 to go in a 1970's truck. I have a few parts I can trade, or just buy outright.
running condition is prefered, but will consider good condition rebuildables.
Here's what I have to trade:
TH-350 tranny (long tail shaft)
89-94 Silverado bumper mount reciever hitch (new)
Brand new Mr. Gasket 4580 baby moon hub caps. Fit most 14" and 15" wheels
New stainless steel radiator overflow catch tank 19" long
1940 Ford trunk handle/latch
1940 Ford side trim
GM power steering box
New monroe shocks
351m motor in running condition
a few other little items
thanks.

Johnny, I know it's not in Ohio, but: I got a 400M with an edelbrock intake (no carb) and automatic (not sure if it's a C-6 or FMX) that you can have in my parts truck. Have as like in free. You pull. E-mail me at dsuplee@midlands.net if your interested.Duane S

The motor was still not froze up the last time I checked it. The parts truck is a 77 I believe and I bought it for the rearend, p/steering, etc. for my ol Effee.Duane S

Thanks, that's a generous offer. But with my work travel schedule, I don't think I'd have the time to get to your neck of the woods.
But, if that intake is in good shape and you'd be interested in selling it, I'd be interested in buying it. The one on my 351 is cracked, and I could at least get the 351 up and going again until I find something better. The intakes are interchangable between the 400m and 351m.
Thanks for the reply.

I don't really want to separate the intake from the motor. I may just put the left over things I don't need up for sale locally. One mud bogger locally has found out I have the motor and is interested. Just thought I'd help out a member on CHR if he wanted to come and get the whole thing.Duane S
