    ford AOD 87-88 MODEL

     



    I AM LOOKING FOR THE SHAFT PART THAT STICKS IN THE SIDE OF THE TRANSMISSION SO I CAN HOOK UP THE SPEEDOMETER. i CAN'T FIND ANY INFO EXCEPT GEARS FOR CHANGING THE SPEED TO GET IT ACCURATE.

    i AM BUILDING A 34 FORD STREETBEAST AND USING A 351 FORD MOTOR AND
    AOD TRANSMISSION ABOUT 1987 OR 88.
    DOES ANYONE KNOW WHERE TO BUY THIS? JUNK YARD i GUESS

    I think you can use a speedo cable from a C-4 or C-6 in a AOD and what was originally in there was a speed sensor for the computer and it had a clip in speedo cable that is totally different then the older versions. Jeff

    if i may suggest

     



    I would use a c4 or c6 before i would mess with a aod i have one in my 95gt and it is a pos!!! I am right now building a 435 stroker to put in it and useing a c6 to put all that power to the tires...
    Somebody else is doing the driving for that boy!

    Good luck with the stroker you will like that. i have a 36 plymouth with 383 stroker it is strong. that ford stuff is my friend building a streetbeast 34 i would not have put that 351 ford and aod in it either . thanks!

    Amen. Have one in my Jeep and hate it. Good old C6 is the way to go.
