do you have any idea what years would interchange?
about 70 mi. from where I live there is a 52/55 wagon
but I don't know if he wants to part it out, are this the
hinges that hold the gate or the hatch,I worked on a
55 chev. so I'm a little lost on a ford.( is a ford an american car
    just kidding )

Well it is CHEVY powered . Heres a picture of the left side. Right side same but opposite. My 57 chevy wagon has cables which by the way I think suck.

You getting snow and ice now??

when I get down that way I'll check if he wants to sell or maybe he
might have an extra pair, but know what would interchange would
be helpful. I'm thinking 52/55 maybe 56 and theres a wrecking yard
a mile down from him so I'll check there also, just gotta wait til
the snow melts some and here I thought I was the only
weird one that likes wagons (you have 2)that means your sicker
    than me

what part in ne. does he live? seems like I remember you telling someone
in eastern ne., I live in western ne.(gods country) that ice storm they had was a bad one, it even cause our internet to go down for 4 days in some
parts, then after that my computer fried, and my printer quit working also so now I had to go buy all new stuff I'm not to sharp
with computers so I lost alot of pictures and stuff I had on the other one,
so it will take awhile to get use to this one, I did call the guy at the wrecking
yard the other day but he was out but I left a message for him to call,

Mat lives in Grand Island. I can still work around not having it I just don't like putting my weight on it with one hanger. If I can't get one I'll see if I can't get a pair of pick/up cables to work.

if you don't like the cable look, my wagon(67 buick) and 67 el camino
both have some flat ones that fold in half, they even have triangle plates on each end with 3 holes for bolts,(they are chrome also)
by the way did you ever finish the interior on that wagon, I think you
said your wife was helping with the panels, I wish I could show you some pictures of the 55 delivery we done ,it's been getting a few trophies so we are pretty happy.

Its hard to tell from the picture, but that tailgate support looks like what holds the hood open on my corvette just longer maybe.

Yes it does look like a hood prop but it works in the opposet direction. My 57 has them on the top gate to hold it open.

The interior is coming along great the door panels are done and installed the rear panels are done waiting till I get the wheel wells covered. I hope that will all come together soon. I still have to finish puting the dash together but thats all stock and should not be any big deal
