lathe books wanted
howdy gang,
We just bought a huge old metal lathe. 14 feet long and heavy.
We have it bolted to the floor in a 5 ton truck van box
nothing like having a portable lathe
I'd like to find out how to use it and wonder if anyone out there
has some books they would like to get rid of(for $)
or have any suggestions on any good books to help us out
thanks
hank

Lindsay Publications.
They have quite a few titles.
One of the best is, "Advanced Machine Work."
It's a reprint - that's what Lindsay does - of a 1930's era machining manual.
Don't be put off by the word Advanced in the title.
It relates directly to using a manual (non-CNC) lathe such as most of us have at home.
There are other less costly titles that are fairly cheap.
Usually dedicated to a particular thing like methods to hold small pieces etc.C9
