air adjust shocks
I wanted a pair of air adjust shocks for the rear of the 78 firebird, and can't find them! I want the ones with the air nozzle on the side of the shock, so I can reach in with an air hose and give it a little lift when I'm ferrying passengers, else want that 'felony arrest' stance.
BUT.. just can't find the dam things. They used to be popular. Hell, now I can't even find the stock shocks in town. Had to order from Summit racing, and even they didn't have any air adjust shocks..
Education is expensive. Keep that in mind, and you'll never be terribly upset when a project goes awry.

I have a set on the rear of my Jeep Truck, but had to use ones made for a mid-70's Ford full sized car, and adapt them. I got mine at Autozone or Advanced Auto, can't remember which one.
Probably they don't make them for every application, but you just have to keep looking at them until you get ones that are the right length, and have the correct mounting confiquration on the top and bottom.
Try this place if that doesn't pan out:

I looked, and they only go back to 1982 on firbird, but maybe if you call them they will tell you what other shock will fit yours.
Good luck,
Don
Thank you Roger. .
