Moon or vintage Corvette finned valve covers

Looking for a nice set of "old school" style cast aluminum small block valve covers for my roadster... open to consideration of just about anything, old corvette covers, Moon or Cal Customs, etc. Prefer polished, but will consider anything as long as they're in nice shape...Let me know what you got! joeybsyc@aol.com

Are you aware that early 'Vette valve covers were stagger mounted?

I'm fairly certain I've seen them with straight across holes too, i think only the earliest ones were staggered. (56/57?) They produced finned covers with Corvette script for several model years, I think until at least 63, maybe later.

The vette covers also came with either 7 or 9 fins............you'll pay dearly for the 9's unless you find an uninformed seller.

I didn't want you to get stuck with something that you can't use.

Only the very early 283 cu in covers were staggered. The newer ones-those made for the 327 are not staggered. I have a set, but they are not for sale

The staggered attachment holes ended after 1959.

For the Corvette script covers in aluminum, you can still buy the finned later model covers (1960-1965) from the Chev dealer....at least you could last year when I bought two sets.

Last I knew, the over the counter GM ones have a big casting line that runs through the "o" in Corvette due to a crack in the original factory die.

I always had fun with guys.....told them their covers were mine....and someone took them.they all had my last name cast in them.Lester I still have a set of the staggered and the other........but wont sell sinec one set is the 9 fin ones. Yere are all sorts of odd differences in parts.......just like on the Nomads.....some of the middle tailgate bars wer smooth under the handle and others were the "knuckle Buster" type......must have been who made them that made the difference.
