WTB 37-8 Chevy sealed beam conversion kit
redoing my 37's hdlts and paint (going to Viper Red),a former owner put square HdLts on it and I want to go back to round ones, I have the buckets, mounts and new trim bezels, but no guts, I do not like the new style sunken light kits, I want a stock or sealed beam look , Also need a pr of REAR bumper brackets for a 37-8 Chevy coupeLast edited by Dgas56; 03-28-2007 at 07:29 AM.

Hey Dgas, You might try Gary at Wheels of Time in Miss. That phone number is 1-601-656-7534. I've had real good luck getting my stuff from them. If they don't have what you need, you might try Obsolet Chevy but I don't have their number. TTommy

neither have what i need, I bought the Chev's of the 40's halo kit. all I can say is DON'T if you have Fglass buckets as I do, I want steel, but.... never find them in MN.- SALT belt ,I sent them back. I will just use glass regular HL bulbs held in place by the bezel until I find a decent looking alternative. STILL LOOKING.

You should have gone down the road to Windy Hill auto in Painsville. 160 acres of of T's to late 60's, now 80% gone!!!!!!
I got all the parts I needed from there, and I got them cheap! 4 cars worth.
I still have a complete '36 chevy truck front clip I got from there, now for sale.
You should go and see if he has anything in. He gets old stuff all the time. he's open 7 days a week, and you go get your own parts, and he will help if you need it.
I have pic's from there that would make you sick that he cruched, you name it he had it!!!

Anyone can cut one up, but! only some can put it back together looking cool!
Steel is real, anyone can get a glass one.

WH is pretty much cleaned out now ,almost 80 mi away, not a trip to make on a wim so I called when I realized I needed these parts, he has nothing. I am making a trip to the best place in MN this week - French lake , Floyd has a wall full of old buckets, but he's higher $ than WH was.

Ya, french lake use to be owned by Al's dad also (WH) origionaly. I have been going there since the early 70's They are more money, but they do have a lot. I was to go on every other month or so for a few years. My wife goes one way and I go another, she finds her things, or just looks around to see what around, and take pic's of cars we are working on, so we can see what is on what car if we need something when home.
Winy Hill had more 20's -50's and French Lake was more 40's -60's cars & trucks
Good luck

There is another big place just SE of Detroit Lakes also. I have not been in it, but past it. I have heard that they have a lot old stuff also. I don't remember the name right now.
There is another place up north that has '37's. I could drive there, but I don't know the name of the roads to take, it's up either #71 or #65, it's a small place and the guy that owns it works for the post office and some young lady sits there while he's at work.
we have driven all over the state looking for '37 parts and found a lot out there for them.
My wife pulls most of her parts, for her '27 "T" I bet I've been to the same antique shops!
Good luck.

What happened to the place on 34 in between Detriot lakes and Park rapids that had a bunch of mid 30s cars, when I was up there in 89 and riding with someone I seen them but when I went back in 2000 with my own vehicle they were gone. 87,88 and 89 I rode with friends to the area and in 2000 I brought my own vehicle so I could hunt for old cars and of course most of what I seen back then was gone but the owner of the Buick,Olds and Caddy dealer in Bemidji has a bunch of old stuff behind the building. Ok gang. It's been awhile. With everything that was going on taking care of my mom's affairs and making a few needed mods to the Healey, it was June before anything really got rolling on this...
