I have a couple of sets of headers to build....Curious if anyone had any reliable source for stainless exhaust tubing and a good selection of mandrel bends??? I think Pat gave me a source once, but of course I lost it......Yesterday is history, tomorrow is a mystery, Live for Today!

yeah we just aren't smart enough to drive cars that require all that technical knowledge to be able to fix all the time... we like the ones even us not as smart people can fix on that occasional break downjust because your car is faster, doesn't mean i cant outdrive you... give me a curvy mountain road and i'll beat you any day

Dave, last fall I had some email discussions with Bernie Haines from this company: www.miracleperformance.com
They do stainless flanges and mandrel bends, or will build complete headers. I contacted him because he had posted on here that they did this kind of work, and I thought I would buy some parts from him to build headers for the T.
Very nice guy and seemed to be willing to do whatever to make it happen, however I took the easy route and just ordered some headers from Sanderson rather than go through all the work of building my own. But I got the impression he was willing to work a deal and help out a CHR member. Their prices look pretty good from the website.
Just another source for you.

Ouch. Talk to Bernie. He was willing to cut me a deal because I was going to get him some exposure in the thread I am doing. Maybe he will work with you too. Seems like a very nice guy.
Here is his email address: Bernie@miracleperformance.com

Well, from the last thread you did on headers, I know they would be a work of art and showcase his product. I really didn't have to ask much before he was willing to work with me, so if you approach it the same way I bet he cuts you some slack.
To grease the skids, I sent Bernie this email.
Bernie:
You and I had some email conversations in late November, early December about getting some stainless bends from you to build headers for a T project I am doing on Club Hot Rod. You were kind enough to want to participate by extending a special price for these items. Due to my inability to fab these up out of stainless I have had to go another direction. However, another member is doing exactly this sort of project, and is going to do a thread on it, so I have steered him your direction.
His name is Pat McCarthy, and he does extremely nice work. He recently posted a thread on building a set of headers, and the workmanship was second to none. I think you would do very well if you extended him the same courtesy, and I know the headers he builds from your product will be a work of art.
I have given him your email address and name. Anything you can do for Pat will be greatly appreciated.
Don
Hope it works out for you Pat.

Thanks for the link, Don. Going to have to get hold of him.. Not sure on the stainless, might just cheap out and use steel tubes then go with the ceramic coating....Yesterday is history, tomorrow is a mystery, Live for Today!
