Who has had a good experience with a source for a quarter panel, to fit a '66 Chevelle SS?

It's going "show quality" black, so I need a really straight panel.

A friend of mine in the body shop business use Year One for a couple of his '60s Chebbys.

Did he have any good or bad words about the tin?

They're about as good as what you get from GM. You'll still have to do the good ol' prime/block/prime/block . . .

I was more concerned about things like corners and the radius on lines and edges.

goodmark panals are about as good as they get. there also the most expensive. most panals for most anything are actully made by the same, Classic Industries and NPD also I'v heard, and www.rustrepair.com. but Goodmark are supposto be there own.

Most of the aftermarket panels are a bit "soft" on the body lines, at least most of the one's I've tried.. Goodmark seems to have the radii correct, but there sizing of the panel from body line to body line seems to be a bit off on the one's I've used... I think most of it is from the fact that the stamping tools and dies have just been overused and the accuracy is gone. Heck, not even the OEM one's are perfect though. As far as who's are the best, not a clue... I've recieved good ones and bad one from all of them... Probably just a case of poor quality control on the product.....

I'm doing a 66 right now and got some really nice 1/4's from NPD.reasonable on the price too.

P.S. It's an original '66 SS M22 bench seat car, with a 540 inch motor and a 6 speed. Runs 10's on street tires. There might be a bigger motor coming! The car will probably be black!
