Wanted: '28 or '29 Model A front fender braces.
I am planning on some winter upgrades to the Wild Canary. The main one will be a cosmetic upgrade to the headlight bar. The current one is a Henry original, from the Barrie hotrod fleamarket. It sets level, but one end has more bend in it than the other, and it makes the front end of the car look "crooked" when viewed from straight in front. I am running a set of aftermarket front fender braces, and they are made of a pressed steel shape thicker than the original forged "catswhisker" style fender braces---and this causes some tire scrub issues between the front tires and the aftermarket fender braces. Since the headlight bar bolts thru the fenders into the 2 holes in the fender braces, I am hoping to gather up 2 original style fender braces and a new stainless steel polished and V'ed headlight bar so that I can tackle everything at once. And please be aware----The fender braces for the 1928-'29 fenders are different than the 1930 and 1931 braces. If you have a good set of undamaged original 1928 or 1929 model A fender braces, send me an email---I will be interested in buying thm.---BrianOld guy hot rodder
