    Gear ratios are 1st 3.06, 2nd 1.75, 3rd 1.00, 4th 0.70.

I have the 4L60E behind my LS1. I have 3.80 gears and a 28" tire, previously had a 29" tire. The combination really works well with my 3400 pound car. For that big drop between 1st and second you need a motor with a pretty flat torque curve. The LS1 works well that way, I would think the LT1 would also.

Of course, that's just my opinion, I could be wrong!

Thanks for the quick info. I dream of the LS1 someday. I am always a style behind and a dollar short when it comes to engines. Well a lot of things really.
