Wtb Holley 3310 Vac. Sec. base plate
Holley 3310 Vac. Sec. base plate or parts carb (750-780, same 3310, -1,-2,-3,-4)
Mines cracked and stuck. On what was a new carb that got left in a car on the carpet for 20 years. After they cracked the base plate using two gaskets. Just tossed it on the floor.
Prefer a newer model w blow out protection but an older one will work. Holley or Proform.Last edited by Dgas56; 06-16-2009 at 08:28 AM.

If you don't find someone that has one, check on ebay and buy a carb that needs rebuilding cheap. You can buy the blow out valves for the metering block cheap at most any speed shop & easy to install.

Anyone can cut one up, but! only some can put it back together looking cool!
Steel is real, anyone can get a glass one.

Thanks but after 7 years of selling/buying there, I quit. There is nothing I need bad enough to put up w Ebays rule, feedback and payment BS. I look it over to see prices and thats about it. It is no longer a viable alternative IMO.Attended my first drag race in 1961 and hooked on cars ever since.

why buy a used one that needs shafts and bushings--buy a new one, preferrably billet instead of cast

Looked at them ,but $249 is a bit out of my low buget reach at the moment. I did find several newer 4160 750's w blow out protection for under $125 to rob the base off of, I have a 4150 3310-nothing (780) and want to keep it (454 motor) and am not sure if a 4160 base will fit a 4150 carb. If so I'll probably go that route.Last edited by Dgas56; 06-16-2009 at 11:41 AM.

I actually took another direction after picking up a box of Holley stuff at BTT50's. Includiing another 3310 780 VS, a 750 VS 3310-3 w blow out protection(I used that base plate). and a 4790 800 DP all in pcs. Wanting bigger carb but not a double pump. I ordered a ProForm main body for a 750/780 vacumn secondary main body and built a performance carb which supposedly flows near 900 CFM @ WOT but maintains vacumn secondary's for a better street manners and milage. My 461 BBC engine being a strictly warm months street performance motor with maybe two or three strip runs a summer. After selling spare parts from the three carbs I did not need. (Still have a pile of stuff left)I paid very little for the main body and gaskets. Not pretty, but functional-Last edited by Dgas56; 07-09-2009 at 01:00 PM.
