owned more then one A body gto with a bbc in it and more then one bbc from 396 to 632 cid .chevy A body same year with rigth oil pan for the A body and engine and frame mounts the chevy headers fit in your car not a big deal. it is when guys use the wrong oil pan and engine mounts then things get side ways . camaro front streer only headers can fit as well in a A body . oval port heads have no play on header fit. all GM iron heads have the same ex port height. now many aluminum heads ports are up by 1/4 or a bit more some companys will tell you were ex port is on the head . so then headers may not fit if you have head studs on heads this will not help the lower row of studs can hit the header flange . with head bolts. many do fit but only good as headers are made ... some times not great . never cared much for the fit so i made my own headersLast edited by pat mccarthy; 08-29-2014 at 08:26 PM.
