Not yet, either later today or Monday. Working on the sprint car for tomorrow's race. Almost don't want to, 102 degrees ! eek !
Although the $k 514 with 625 HP and the low torque sound great, I don't think I'll do it. The car is set up for a FE, including the motor mounts,
brand new steel bellhousing, flywheel and clutch. I don't know how long the block is compared to the FE, but even the shifter hole in the tunnel
may be different. I'd have to check with other Lone Star Cobra owners if anyone has the 514 . It may also be too high for the hood to close ?
Plus, it's not a FE.....Last edited by FUNFER2; 06-17-2016 at 06:24 AM.

What do you guys think of this 427 center oiler, for it's parts and price ?
(Although, I'm leaning towards a new Pond, Geneses or Bear Block Motors new block)
The 427 is a C5AE - Solid lifter, Cross Bolt block, Std. bore, TRW forged pistons, Lemans cap screw rods, Lemans steel crankshaft. Block is in excellent condition. Ready to assemble. Asking $3500 OBO
I'm located in Houston, Tx. Pictures and more details available upon request.
Thank you,
Curtis

You're welcome Mike, glad it worked out for you. Roger, it's taken a few years but my inventory of excess parts has shrunk a fair bit from 1 1/2 garage stalls to about an eight by eight space. ...
