    Another 1 for Bobb44

Bobb44 asks, "Does anybody out there make or have for sale 40 Ford pickup steel fenders? "

Perhaps someone here will have an answer.

    Mike,
Saw a set of fronts on evilBay, said '40-41 and didn't appear to be total trash? You might post a question on the FB Group, Deuces and 40 Fords, and see if anyone might have what Bob needs.

I don't think the truck and cars are interchangeable and you also have Standard and Deluxe. I know the Standard and Deluxe hoods are NOT interchangeable, Standard is one piece grill and Deluxe is 3 piece grill and I don't know how or if that affects the fenders or not.

You can get away with '40 passenger fenders, either S or D they're the same. The truck hood is different though it looks similar to a Standard, the reveals are different. Also the hood latch placement and ornament punch outs are different 40 to 41 trucks. The Standard grille, and truck grille are the same and actually are three piece though not as apparent as the Deluxe. If he's doing a '41 good luck finding a hood latch release trim piece, Drake used to repop them but hasn't had any for years.

Thanks Bob, I knew someone would come along with more and better info than I had. I was sure of the hood difference, not so much on the fenders.
