    '53 - '54 Desoto grill

I'm in the market for a grill from (I believe these are the years) a '53 or '54 Desoto grill. Does anyone know how much these go for and their availability??
If it ain't broke, improve it...

Thats a bide yer time an search the fields item. I havent seen any fer under $400 unless ya got a good buddy an ya promiss not to ebay it behind his back LOL. But then again I live in NorCal where everything is inflated. Gene Winfield had one at Paso last weekend fer $400. Theres one on Ford Barn fer $800! Good luck, let me know if ya find 2.

There's a big difference between the 53 and 54 Desoto grills. The 53 has a bunch of teeth bolted to the lower grille pan. The 54 has the teeth on a floating bar with parking lights on the ends.
I found a 53 grille a few weeks ago. One of the teeth is broken and the others are pitted. They're still bolted to the pan. If You want I'll go ask the guy how much. He was talking about putting it on ebay but he's waiting till he gets a digital camera. If you're looking for a 54 I can't help you unless I find two of them.

Thanks AL I skipped the details. Gene had a 54 this yr and 53's last yr. Ya can always go with a cheby iffin yer goin fer a floater Rodz'. theres also some poeple who repop the vette teeth. I was actually thinkin of using plumbers 90o pipe welded at aposing angles joined at the ends to a pan for the 53 'Soto look. Paint it up.
