I don't remember because I was buying a lots of wholesale cars from dealers at the time. By lots I mean 4 or 5 at a time. some wre junked and some were fixed up and sold. I think it was a 74 to 76 Buick but I could be wrong. Just take a tape measure to the junkyard or swap meet. I think it's 1 1/2 or 1 1/4 wide. any flat piece will bend enough to follow the curve of the grille. Even a piece of that plastic stick on side trim will work.

I checked out the pics of your truck. I was planning to build a fenderless 39 pickup with Toronado running gear in the back. I still have two sets of side panels I was going to weld together. The plan was to mount the radiator in back so that you could see through the engine compartment and see that it was empty. Then I thought maybe mount a lawn mower engine up front for laughs. The whole project was abandoned in the planning stages when I got an offer I couldn't refuse for the Toronado. It's now powering a Porsche speedster replica in Bangor Maine
