Save yourself some money, just weld the spider gears in the diff togther to make posi then start saving money for a real posi when the welded posi blows or you can afford a new posi.

Tooltime is right. Don't weld spiders if you plan to drive it on the street at all, especially if you have decent size tires. You will put something in a bind every time you go around a corner.

Of course, that's just my opinion, I could be wrong!

I dont think a posi would be a good ide for your truck if you plan to use it daily. I personally reccomend a locker. ARB air lockers are pretty good, and you can switch them on and off.

I was just looking at it from a cost standpoint, he's always complaining on how the truck is cleaning him out. I know it's not good idea but if he really wants a posi, and has litttle money, it is an easy way to make posi and when he has money enough to buy a good posi, he can rip the welded peice of junk out. I woulden't run a welded posi myself, but I know people that have because of the money and still ansisted on a posi. Didn't mean to sound in an angry/ mean mannor, sorry
