Axles for 1957 Ford rear end

I am looking for a pair of rear 28 spline axles for a 1957 Ford 9" rear axle housing. Bearing O.D. is approx. 2.834"
    Thanks

As with the brakes your looking for 57-59 Ford parts. These are a desirable axel due to their narrow width. While bearings, seals, brakes and wheel cyls are still available for them, finding one that you can part out for axels, drums and backing plates is a good deal harder. You can have a set of axels custom made but chances are that will be out of your budget.

A while back I think Streets posted a web site or list that showed various axel widths, it might not be a bad idea to take a look for it in the archives and see if you can find it. You may find that the most cost effective route will be complete assembly from something else.
