My truck has a 70 Camaro front-clip and a new rear suspension, using s 70 Camaro 10-bolt rearend. Your truck being a 48... I'd use the original frame, with a Mustang II type of front suspension and just rebuild your rear suspension with modern stuff. Lots of truck magazines list parts for your truck. Good luck and have fun. That's what it's all about. Take your time to ensure that your build is safe to drive, or your fun won't last that long.
