im not exactly goin with the rat rod theme but more of a traditional hot
hot with most of my dough going on speed parts .. its still got a way to go
and i am planning on puttin the fenders and running boards back on the old ones were trash so i took them off ,
i have thought about putting a 35-36 radiator shroud on and leave the fenders off , like i said its a work in progress .

    dang it man !!!

several years ago i bought 2 rusty old chevy trucks with good 454 motors and running gears with the intention of actually doing a chevy car .. i wanted to build a 70 camaro tribute car in honor of a long passed away friend who influenced my love of all things hot rod .. i looked for years trying to find a good candidate but never found anything within my budget.. i`m not paying 10 thousand $ for a rust bucket body .. but anywho i recently sold all the chevy stuff to a buddy then come on this site now and see what some of you folks are doing with these rat style rides and think " man " thats the coolest thing i have seen in years .. but now iv`e nuthing to work with .. but all is not lost .. i would gut my 351 pinto in a minute to build an old piece of rust and there is plenty around
iv`e used up all my sick days at work .. can i call in dead ?

I just painted a 49 Chevy stake side very similar to that one. Came out great considering I had to remove the previous 4 blue paint jobs.......

    Talking Love them Rats

The last time I mentioned that I was building a Rat rod style F100 I got my butt chewed off......I was given a backyard education on the definition that a Rat Rod is nothing more that a unsafe and dangerous ride that hazardous to everyone around it.........Well, I got over it and sold that truck to Anders in Sweden and started another Rat Rod Hot Rod. Yes it's safe....proper welds, disk brakes, IRS ect.

Well, Here's my Rat Rod, Traditional Rod, call it what you will. I call it FUN. SBF, 4 speed, 4 wheel disc brakes, 4 inch chop, 4 inch drop axle, coilovers, etc. It's my first Rod and I just built it this Spring and started driving it in August. What do you think???
