Hi am i guess at best an extreem novice at cars etc was wondering what paint i would need for a rat rod look as have been advised by this paint guy that a epoxy primer would be best as i could do each piece at my own pace as this paint is a sealed primer.Would this paint give me that matt rat rod look?[/COLOR] for the mean while as i will get it painted eventually it so need it has dents from gravel roads and humidity damage on the paint front bonnet looks crackle glazed so needs it???

a rat rod is self expression.....as long as u put your heart sould blood sweat and tears into it it can be classified as a rat. that goes for all the shiny nice built ones as well, if u built it i classify it as rat cuz chances are you ate peanut butter sandwhiches for lunch and lived paycheck to paycheck dumping every dime you had into something you've always wanted. as long as some1 didnt build it for you and its not a trailor queen its a rat

Nobody knows what a rat rod is. Horsepower TV is building a "rat," but the only thing on it that's even mildly ratty is the body. They used a complete P&J frame with a Super Bell axle, chrome coil overs, chrome hairpins, disk brakes, P&J ladder bars and panhard bars, Vega box, yadda, yadda, yadda.
Standard street rod so far.Jack

I figured it out ,...R A T,its not a word its an abbreviation...Recycled Automotive Transportation,......except they forgot to recycle this 1.Its gunna take longer than u thought and its gunna cost more too(plan ahead!)
