any leads on rats in texas?? added pic
i am currently in iraq and passing my days by searching the net for a good rat or two. ebay seems to be the volume site but all the cars are up north. i know there has got to be a guy somewhere in the vast state of texas with projects waiting to get started. the problem with finding anything on the net is when you look up rat rod the results suck. been looking for 2 months and just today found you guys.
anyhow, i am looking for a tudor 31-34 and/ or 30-40 pick up. last time i posted on here my post dissappeared. hopefully this one won't. BTW my plans are in early stages but i thought i would run them by ya'll. the before mentioned body with a 03-04 cobra drivetrain or earlier 5.0 roller motor. either way fuel injected!!Last edited by getcarter; 06-15-2006 at 10:03 PM. I would wait till you get home, and try to get to know a few rat rod guys , or maybe a car club, then you will start finding out who`s got what, also im not sure what your looking for ,but you can also look in parts cars on ebay and find some decent deals

Bottom line: I don't care if you make it out of 2 x 4's and corregated roofing, just make it so that you are not endangering others with it.PLANET EARTH, INSANE ASYLUM FOR THE UNIVERSE.

Hi getcarter, winr here.
My ride is a 1965 Ford F-100 shorty, my Uncle bought it new, I am the second owner.
It looks like a rat at the moment, I will paint it one day.
I live in Friendswood, Texas.
There is a target on 518 and 146 in Kemah.
On Friday and Saturday there are all kinds of cars and trucks there.
Old, new, rat rods, etc, everyone I have met there was friendly also.
Keep your eyes peeled and be safe.
My email is winr@sbcglobal.net
Any of you guys in the area happen to go to the target in Kemah, look me up.
I will be parked with more 61 to 66 Ford F-100 trucks.
My 65 is shiny and dull black with 40 fin turbine wheels.
Regards.
Richard.
