OK, the photoshop sold me on that idea, thats the way I will do it. It is just such a pain in the butt to drill all those 5/8 holes in that plate!!! Actually I will probably use the plates I have now for on top, and make a new set to put between the spring and axle so I can make it so the head of the locating spring pack bolt fits perfectly in the spacer.

You're welcome Mike, glad it worked out for you. Roger, it's taken a few years but my inventory of excess parts has shrunk a fair bit from 1 1/2 garage stalls to about an eight by eight space. ...
