Ya that 460 would have moved it along pretty good but, its too far gone to save so i got a hold of that 60ish 289 that you see in the pic and put it in.Ill take rust any day over that itchy ass fiberglass!

Is that a 460?
I like the build. I had always thought about building an axle like that but couldn't decide if the fact they were staggered would affect the outcome.

Glad the hand is better. That is pretty scary.
Any words of wisdom? Was the stone old, or damaged, or you got rough wiht it...
??.
Education is expensive. Keep that in mind, and you'll never be terribly upset when a project goes awry.

The blade just stuck and exploded, better my hand than my face.
on the axle we cut it way down theres about 4 inches thats tucked inside the square tubing, i notched the tubing to go up into the ends up to where the trailing arm is bolted for added structural strength.
but in all honesty the front end is pretty much temporary until i can get a proper axle, i may even take the spring out of the front and weld it solid for the time being since it sits up to high mounted where it is.Ill take rust any day over that itchy ass fiberglass!

No, i had origionaly planned on using the donor 460 that i have but the engine needs to be bored pretty big to get rid of all the pits in the cylinders, so my dad gave me this older 302 or 289 and thats what you see in the pics.Ill take rust any day over that itchy ass fiberglass!
