well i got some more parts got the front axle made tomorrow ill be building the frame and picking out my grill shell i have about 150 tractors and 20+
20s-40s trucks cars and military cars to choose from gotta love honey holes
im hoping to set the engine and possibly the cab tomorrow
the frame is being built from 2x6 rectangle tubing 1/4 thickness rear axle will sit above the frame and front axle will be infront of the frame heres a couple more pics one fo the front axle made of 60s ford twin ibeam
(if your wondering why so heavy on all my metal? i tend to have a lead foot and with the torque of the 460 and a truck 4 speed i want it strong besides i may decide to tow with itIll take rust any day over that itchy ass fiberglass!

Well after a long hiatus im back and the truck is getting a little closer to being finished. my hand is doing much better and is nearly healed. movement to the pinky is getting better but is still limited but that hasnt limited my ability to work on the truck.
I originally wanted to use the stock big block ford with a truck 4 speed but the block has too deep of pits in the cylinders and i dont feel like spending the money to use it. So, i lucked up on a small block ford 302 thats roughly a late 60s model engine and a good C6 tranny ill be installing that in the frame tomorrow. hopefully wrapping this truck up and trying to drive it to Turkey Rod Run! ill post some pics when i get the engine installed.Ill take rust any day over that itchy ass fiberglass!

What the heck is goin on with grinder disc explosions lateley ?????
I never ever had one come apart in years past, but have had several in the last year all with different brands. Had one explode last week, got me in the left arm and right leg. Guess Iv'e been lucky as I received no serious injuries, YET. Had one come apart back in February, hit me so hard in the belly that I was afraid to look, took a nice sized chunk of belly fat out and left about a 12 inch diameter Dark blue bruise. Guess It's time to buy some new grinders and leave the guards on em............ Didn't mean to hijack your build thread..

Agreed, Grinder guards shouldnt be removed unless your feel like visiting the hospital.
I wont be making that mistake again, that 3 days in the Hellspital is enough to learn me that lesson.
Back on topic ill prolly have some pics in the next day or two of the truck.Ill take rust any day over that itchy ass fiberglass!
