    On the grdkids, yep, the oldest wont be 16 for 6 more years so I should be able to put a few miles on it till then....

    Dont know why someone would delete your comment, I dont get offended that easily.......

    Yep Made from 1/4 flat steel, doubled up on the spring hanger for extra striength.

    I just joined the forum because of your build. It is a great build. there is a lots of good ideas, and info here too. That is just the forum I want to be on. I would love to see how it comes out.

    Though I have only been here a short time myself there has been a lot of possitive feedback from folks on here. Its been a slow build due to the economy and health issues but it is coming together. Thanks for the kind words you have offered.

    the hot rod is lookin great larry. i really like that i-6.those little things at the end of a build can take a lot of time. that s10 was rittled with little things that are hard to get to,hahaha, its all fun though.just aint nothin like it.

    Aint that the truth geezer. Seems as soon as you get one thang done two more pop up......... but its fun as you say. Wont know what to do when I finish it...... guess just drive it ......heheheheheh

    I think the old trucks look great in olive drab flat paint! It gives them that classic old look! Somehow or other it just makes the old body style stand out.

    1948 International Truck Rat Rod

     



    z'd original frame, put Speedway motors new dropped front axle kit in it with vega box, complete drive train came out of a 1988 z-28 camaro, even the driveshaft was perfect length. Used camaro rear suspension also. Only $650 in original truck and about the same for the camaro. cheap build. chopped top 3 1/2", cut 6" off bottom of truck and channeled 6" over frame for real low look.
