different motor for the dodge!!
since my budget is tight on the build, l was planning on a 327 l already had in the shop to use. l have some stuff l was trying to sell to raise cash to finish the dodge and a guy called me and offered a 383 small block chevy,
400 hp and 350fpt it has a tunnel ram with two 660 center squirt holley carbshas anyone ran this kind of set up on the street? if so, how does it perform?
l may change the intake to a holley torker style intake and a 600 demon l aready had for the 327.
since this motor is torqey l am changing the rear gears to either 3:50 or 3:35 since i already have them in the parts shed. thaking the 3:90'S out for a little better gas milage. still running the 700R4 transmission.

cut the body to day, took out only 7'' because the chassis l am using was built for a differant kind of car. to get the body to fit correctly, that was all we could safely take out . will finish welding up the body tomarrow or the next day. soon after the welding on the main body is done, we will fill in where the doors were.:3dSMIL

I always sorta liked the more door cars. But I really like the way you are doing this old Ford.
Interestingly enough just today a 4 dr to 2 dr project was offered to me. While this one is a real project I thought maybe you would like to see a couple of photos.

nice
nice shoebox ford.
mine turned out to be a 1932 desoto, not a 1933 dodge like l was first told.
hope to have running before summer.
to get it running l still have a long way to go . l try to work on it a little every day.

progress today
got the rear doors started to be cut and welded in so they will not open.
the body work will be started as soon as the welding is finished so we can start painting.
l now it looks rough right now, we will get it cleaned so the rust is off of the
body and the dark red below the body line and bright red above will look good.
more pics as progress goes on.

worked on the guages today. the area above the windsheild has enough room for the guages to fit in and puts them right at eye level.
even have a transmission heat guage made by B&M from 1979 still in the oringal package l bought it in.

I saw a 34 Chrysler 4 door made into a sedan delivery, and he used the rear door from a PT Cruiser Panel for the rear door on the 34. Really sharp ride.

vents
got the rear window panels welded in.
started to shave the cowl vents to smooth the top of the cowl.
this way a hood will fit better and if l don't run a hood it will look better

outside
Rolled the car out today and took some pics in the nice wheather. helps keep us motovated to see it in the sunlight.
I know not everyone will like the mustang II style I F S, people here tend to lean toward the straight axle look if you are not running fenders.
l have been told certain car shows won't allow me to be in them. l can deal with that. just gonna drive it and enjoy the heck outta it.
January in washington and it got up to 50 degrees or so and no rain in sight for the weekend.
Will be filling in the cowl vent next week and start getting the rust cut out and replaced. when the rust is out the other body work can start so we can get it painted before summer. between the doors the post will be flattend and feathered in so it's a flat panel.
no rear door, just a window.
