Wow! Can't say I blame you Billy, but that really, really surprises me. I bought a ton of stuff from Speedway, and I think the only problem I ever had was due to me ordering something that didn't work the way I expected. Speedway's tech guys walked me through things once or twice, too. Sorry you had the problem, and know it's frustrating. Bet if you take a snapshot and e-mail it to them they'll be all over paying for the return, and probably sending you a drivers side for delivery tomorrow.

I'm having a problem with them also right now. I am not even arguing with them or asking them for anything but a piece of information and they won't even return my e-mails! So now I'm trying to call the service manager direct.

Last time I had a problem with them over a damaged item in shipping and they were right there to make it right. Not any more!!!

    yet another update.
after i stopped being so mad i was speaking in tongues.
i sent this email and also speedways response.
    BTW that shipping is $53
    hello MR Scranton.

is there a way you could cut me some kind of deal on these headers or something.?

these headers order mixups cost me a lot of time and that means they cost me money.

i am seriously considering never ordering anything from SPEEDWAY again.

i simply dont trust the company to send me what i pay for in a timely manner.

    regards

    William Hedges

    William-

I provided my supervisors your words of disappointment regarding the matter regarding your headers. He refunded your shipping cost from original order for your trouble.

Speedway has been a great company for us. It's really ashame to have two mixups on one order. I am glad they paid the shipping cost. I know it's not much, but it is something. I had a disc brake conversion kit from Classic Performance that had the wrong mounting plates. The directions were terrible. After trying every posible angle and option, I called their help line. We sent emails with photos of what the plates should look like back and forth. Finally it was obvious the wrong mounting plates were in the kit. They did a no cost exchange. I was just happy the resolved the problem, so many companies just don't believe in any customer service, but Speedway, and Summit seem to be amongst the best to shop from.

Yeah, I just discovered a Speedway glitch myself this week. I bought a 0-90 ohm fuel tank sending unit from them over a year ago and installed it but just got around to hooking a gauge to it. The gauge wouldnt read right so I pulled the sending unit out to check it and its a 33-240 ohm unit. Wish I'd have checked it when I bought it; too late now.

    Your truck looks great, BTW!

I agree it's probably too late, but I'd still call them, explain the situation and see what they say. They're used to selling stuff that doesn't get used for a year or so...

    update
the drivers side header should be here today.
after installing the one i realized that the doors wouldnt open with the extensions installed.
so i unbolted the body mounts and jacked the cab up 2 inches.

it didnt really change the look any.
luckily i have slack in my brake lines and wiring.
the steering column slid on the heim joint so that wasnt an issue either.
i dont want to jinx myself but
it looks like it just might work.
