bought the wrong ignition control module .
so i still dont get to hear it run for a while.
i got the brown grommet one which is for ca. emmisions.
anybody want a free I.C.M.?
i really need to add $500 to the over all costs of any projects i take on to account for all the unusable parts i buy that i end up throwing in the dumpster....
a hot rod is whatever i decide it is.

Sounds great even with the stock exhaust manifolds. That is a close tolerance for the drive shaft and the cab.

that leaf spring ended up too long.
it is at a spring shop now
they will re-arch all the leafs and make it 1-1/2" shorter.

Congrats to you Billy! Big Moment for sure. And my hat's off to your builder/mentor, whatever his name is! Great work. Wish I had a mentor, other than my long distance friend Jim in Florida! He's been a treasure for me. If not for him I'd have given up loooonng ago! Your build gives me inspiration to resume work on my '29 Essex. perleyToo old to work, Too poor to quit.

well
as of yesterday
i got the seats/steering wheel/ shifter/gas and break pedals installed
the fuel system is finished
so is the shifter linkage
all i need to finish the brakes are two 24" soft lines
and i found some real nice repro model A door handles that are perfect.
i have an unacceptable amount of play in the steering.
so it looks like i will be rebuilding the 64 f-100 steering box.
it looks a lot like the ross box.a hot rod is whatever i decide it is.
You're welcome Mike, glad it worked out for you. Roger, it's taken a few years but my inventory of excess parts has shrunk a fair bit from 1 1/2 garage stalls to about an eight by eight space. ...
