27 chevy p/u
this is what i have to work with.
ford 302 , C6 3 speed tranny and that scrap heap of a body.
this week i go get the 9"rear end.
woo lordy!
what have i gotten myself into THIS time?!?

Do you know what year the heads are? Just curiuos what you have there?
If you flip one of the heads over and snap a photo we can see if they are closed chamber or open. also any letters or numbers on the heads or the block and we can tell what you have there, if you would like to know for sure. Kurt

this is what i did to it in 8 months
complete rewire
replace 9" brakes
fabricate seat brackets/front bumper
adjust valves/timing /dwell etc.
clean/patch gas tank
replace fender
change all fluids differentials/tranny/ etc.
carb rebuild
fuel pump rebuild (failed bought replacement)
replace warn locking hubs with selectros
repack wheel bearings replace seals
replace rear inner seals
replace seats with originals
install choke cable
replace u-joint
replace steering wheel
wire wheel interior
degrease interior
treat interior for rust.
paint gas tank
turn signal switch(failed bought replacement)
install side spare carrier
wiper motors/arms
dash handle
rebuild steering box
replace/repair
tie rods
bell crank
sector shaft
drag link
broken lug stud
paint/install glass in 1/2 cab
replace tube for oil pressure gauge
patch holes in dash/ windshield/floorboards
treat rust on body
paint

it is coming along.
everyday after work something gets done to it.
we will put 2"square tubing all around the windshield frame.
there is now 3/4" tubing under the lip the dash slides into and a section of plate along the bottom edge.

once this is all tied together.
then we go to the doors
the rear panels
then the back.

it's obvious why nobody does these ancient chevy's.
all that wood is a pain in the neck.
