My front axle
Does anybody know what this is I need to buy parts
I posted it on local cl got multiple replies saying it came from a 50's f 100 when i went to buy lug nuts at napa they said that left hand studs were not cross referencing for the 50's f 100. So I need to know for sure.

Ride..
Cool Chevy Project.. I said the same thing when I started (SHORT TERM).. Now It's been 9 years and she's FINALLY coming together..
The Spindles indeed look Ford with the round backings to them.. What's that ball-shaped thing at the bottom for? - I used a 66' Chevy Van I-Beam out front and a Ford Explorer 96+UP Disc rear Axle..
I'll keep an eye on yours..
Mine is a 31' It's here:

Grill?
Hmm I know that Grill.. It appears to be Dodge? - Had and studied many.. decided on the 35' Chevy Truck unit you see on mine.. best part is it was FREE.. alas the whole lower edge was rotted into invisibility but it needed a CHOP anyways.. What size steel are those Frame Rails? - To be safe don't go with anything less than 2x3x1/8 wall. If you must get thinner at the front slice it length-wise and taper them together.. Wish u lived closer Brother.. That's my favorite part.. -Rob in NH

the grille is actually a 32 ford commercial from a 1 1/2 ton and here are some pics of the frame and mock up of front suspension

You might look at dodge, pu or b100 van. I have run into some older dodge stuff, late 50's maybe, that used left hand threads. What is the bolt pattern on the hubs? That might also lead to the make. Ford used 5 x 5 1/2, may have used the large patten, stock car guys called it the wide 5 pattern. But I know Ford used the 5 x 5 1/2 from mid to late 40's until they changed to a metric pattern. Not sure what dodge ran, although if you haven't identified it these guys here will probably know. As far as I know chevy never used the left hand threads. Hope this helps.

Generally, anything with Left Hand threads is a MoPar part. They stayed with LH lugs up into the 60's sometime...Yesterday is history, tomorrow is a mystery, Live for Today!
