a sherpa is a light van LDV/SHERPA the rear ends are practically bullet proof, yet they look like a period axle.early versions even used i beams.

Don a LDV/Sherpa stands for Leyland Daf Vehicles ,Leyland is an old vehicle manufacturer from pre WW2 that made mainly trucks, (lorries for our english friends) and in the last few years (20yrs or so) merged with the Dutch company Daf to build small commercial vehicles up to large trucks. Daf trucks use Cummins engines and gearboxes so really it is only the cabs chassis that are there design. I believe Leyland is and off shoot of BMC. (british motors corporation) but our English friend may want to correct me if I am not 100% correct..
Neat liitle '27 but I don't like the idea of doing 120 clicks on skinney cross plye tryes... Is it a steel body ??/
