I have been working on a 1930 essex truck rat for about 8 months now

might have been easier to start from scratch I think! I will post up some pics
I am no where near done but its coming along! My goal is the have it street worthy
within in a year.. well seeLast edited by 30essex; 09-27-2011 at 03:56 PM.

heres the pics so far
This is where I got my donor engine and tranny from a 1985 ford DU-ALLY VAN LOL
Some guy out here made a dually van and it was for sale on craigslist for $400 I drove it 120 miles home!
The engine and tranny seem solid! my wife about killed me when I brought it home LOL I even got
sneers from people at the stop lights on the way home... it had straight pipes side exiting before the rear tires
with some blown out glasspacks in place
Got the engine out and started in on making a new front end, engine mounts and some zoomies
the previous owner had the front end z'd up like 18 inches it was ridiculous!
I brought that down to 10" now
I plan on doing my front end pretty similar to the way crazyrat on this forum did his
and hopefully cowl steering. I have a 1945 chevy truck axle I am working with
I am trying to keep this whole build under 4k and still be safeLast edited by 30essex; 09-27-2011 at 08:58 PM.

Hey 30 Essex, that is a cool little truck for sure! I like it, not that it matters! That motor is gonna be hard on the tires. haahaaa
What did you do to top off the roof? I need to do something with my coupe, and can't figure out what. Could you post a picture of the side of the cab please? I am curious as to what the belt (character) line(s) look like. Great job, more pics-more pics, we love pics! perleyToo old to work, Too poor to quit.
