In the very first post of the the thread. No, that's a photo sent to me by CCR when I was looking to purchase that chassis.

You see a problem with my current set up?

Man oh Man you guys are tough!
Some of us do have lives with families and other "stuff" to do.. you think "we" just work on a hot rod each and every night / day?
What if this guy is a "across the country" trucker? Maybe instead of being on the east coast he's on the west!

Ligthin' up, maybe he has other things in life to do right now?!?!?

DennyW, didn't realize you were waiting on me. I'm sitting back waiting to see if jerry clayton decides to tell what he sees wrong with the spring.

I'm waiting to see what part of this project is ratty.

Maybe he has a shiny chrome rat hood ornament?

Education is expensive. Keep that in mind, and you'll never be terribly upset when a project goes awry.

Well, I guess that most of you never ever worked on anything that had leaf springs? You have the U bolts in wrong and the plate with the hole in it goes on the bottom with the hole over the end of the thru bolt-the u bolts clamp arond the leaves, not beside them----- Sorry that you seem to be offended, but the idea of these sites is to share info and help others from doing some basic auto engineering stuff in a manner thats gonna maybe cause some mayham on the roads-------

Thank you for the input Jerry, I'll re-visit the front leaf U-bolts and mounting. I'm not offended.

Just wait for the welds. Then it'll look ratty. But seriously I'm using the term rat to describe a non-traditional rod that won't be following any given guideline, even ratty ones. Just a project that has what I want, where I want it, done how I want.

Nice catch Jerry. Luckily this was just mock up and he can fix it. That is why these forums are nice. No one got hurt and he didn't have to learn the hard way either.

It's gonna be a sweet ride Mykk. That motor is so unusual it helps make it a standout.

Keep it comin', lovin' it over here.
