Speedway Motors
Looking for general comments concerning the quality of street rod parts from Speedway Motors. Looking to buy a set of Ford front spindles, pricing at Speedway is lower than other sources, however I do not want to sacrifice quality to save money. The reason I hesitate with Speedway is I purchased parts from them probably 10 years ago and the parts did not fit, I contacted Speedway and they did nothing to fix the problem, the parts are on my shelf and have never been used. Do not want to go down that road again.
Thanks

Speedway has a reputation as a low-end supplier. They have low prices, but sometimes low prices cost more . . . If you know what I mean. How much is the difference compared to other outlets like Pete and Jakes/Super Bell?Jack

I have used Speedway off and on for 40 years and have never had a problem that I can remember. They do, however, send labels and instructions for the returning of parts with every shipment these days. Just my experience.Duane S

I'd say it depends on what you buy from them. If it's a proprietary piece (meaning they make it themselves) it'll likely be lower quality. They do resell a lot of name brand parts today, so the quality is equal to a lot of other places since it's the same stuff. If I had your concerns I'd call them and ask where the parts come from. If the spindles are Magnum, then you know the frame of reference. If they hem and haw, dance around the subject, then you gotta wonder if saving a few bucks is worth it.Your Uncle Bob, Senior Geezer Curmudgeon

Thanks for the suggesti0on to call and ask for the brand name. I never gave that a thought but it is exactly what I am going to do.
Excellent thought.
Thanks

Chassis Engineering sells forged spindles at a competitive price. Your ass is on the line. Don't piss it away to save $20.
