Pictures of black engines
I am planning on painting my engine black, but have not decided if I want it gloss or semi-gloss. My biggest concern is keeping it looking fresh. My brackets and pullies will be black powder coated and are pretty glossy.
Anyone got any pictures of black motors they can post, or comments of experience?
thanks

Of course, that's just my opinion, I could be wrong!

Can't help on the black color, but I painted mine orange with a semi gloss and it came out good and cleans up nice.Keep smiling, it only hurts when you think it does!

Pat,
My frame, engine block, oil pan, and misc items are all painted black. My sedan is a driver and I don’t have any trouble maintaining a clean look in the engine compartment... except for the stuff that’s supposed to shine I’ve got aluminum heads and ceramic coated headers, and I like the contrast against the black block.

It’s hard to get a decent picture with the engine in the car, but here’s a picture that was taken during the build

I wanted to complain about this NZ slang business, but I see it was resolved before it mattered. LOL..
