Help!!MSD dist. got no spark !!

Tonight my dad's car stalled at an intersection. I'm unable to get the engine started. It cranks find, has fuel, but no spark at coil output. There's 12 volts at the (+)side of ign. coil with the key ON. When the engine is being cranked, the test light on the (-)side of ign. coil flickers(pulses). Is that normal? I installed the chevy MSD ready-to-run dist. about a month ago. The car ran perfect until it quit today. I got the car towed home. Any ideas if the dist. is the problem or I got a bad ignition coil. Any tips on any more test I can do ? Thanks for any suggestionS. Ray

    Fixed it!!

WOO HOO!! Found the problem, it was the ign. coil. I didn't replace the coil when I installed the new distributor. Just put in a new msd blaster 2, and it fired right up! I didn't think a coil could go out, but it did. It was one of those cheap chrome Accel super stock coils(crap).
