Starter isn't the problem,I'm pretty sure of that. It isn't continually attempting to start,although with the selenoid stuck,it theoretically should. But,problem is only located between the selenoid and alternator. Just want to make sure that the alternator is going to charge the battery. If it won't carry the motor's load,then will it charge the battery? If the battery becomes weak it can burn the alt up. Don't want this to happen is all.
