    Garage Flooring

I'm wanting to install a cool garage flooring, possibly black and white checker type. Anyone out there have luck with a good flooring that's inexpensive and is resistant against oil, gasoline, etc. I would appreciate any tips.

    Hope this helps

There is an epoxy flooring paint available at Home depot just for this. It is oil and stain resistant. made to go on the concrete and generally lasts a good while if applied properly. The only pain, and it's a big pain,is that you have to etch the concrete first to give it a surface that it can bond to. But,after that,it's smooth sailing and a good looking floor. You can also add a grip into the epoxy that will give you a non-skid surface, but the smooth looks better. Hope this helps.

    Tinker-

Thats for the info. It sounds like the epoxy is applied similar to paint, maybe thick paint? Any idea how it would be applied if I wanted black and white squares about 1 foot square?

    There you go

Tech inspector is right. There have been a lot of people inquiring about the same thing. I only have first hand experience with the product that I mentioned, but there are a lot of other products out there, most commercial,so I wouldn't know how you could get them. The most common way to square is to put down a coat of white, solid. Dry,and then come back with the coat of black on top in the pattern that you wish, taping that pattern off of course. By the way, Techinspector is the man!
