    Question air conditioning compressor

i have a 68 camaro that im installing a vintage air unit in . because of my tall valve covers on the big block im limited on compressor room. does anybody out there know if the compressor will work upside down with the hoses on the bottom. this allows me the most room. although the oil ran out before i could connect the lines. thanks ATLAS

Don't do it. It will pump all the oil out into the lines. The fittings must be on the top or at 90 degrees to the side only.

Check with Allen Grove for a a/c bracket that will fix your problem.

There is a good article on brackets in the current issue of Rod & Custom. In addition to Alan Grove, Bill's Hot Rods also makes some great brackets. I just bought a set and they look great, have not installed them yet, but believe they will work perfect. They have brackets to put your accessories in any place imaginable.

Of course, that's just my opinion, I could be wrong!
